Bird Friendly!
I guess our backyard is the place to be, if you're a bird that is. Over the 4th of July weekend we had another bird family decide to take up residence here. This morning I thought I would see if I could get up there and get a picture of the eggs before they hatched. Success! Luckily the nest belongs to Finches and not Mockingbirds, as I have said before, here, Mockingbirds are not very nice birds!

We get mocking birds here too. They chase all the sweet sounding birds away. They even chase the sqyurrels off the deck. That is okay. But they are not pleasant birds. They will also eat the eggs out of a nest so keep an eye out for them. I use one of my old Wisconsin squirt guns on them. It holds a lot of water and I am far enough away that I get a chance to fire!
