Bargain Pottery, Continued

Back again. Yesterday was wordless Wednesday, I had to leave pictures without words. So, here I am today to explain what this is all about.
I love a bargain! I also love, love cake plates and unusual serving plates. We are going to a Superbowl party this weekend. Ryan and Terri have a new home, and are hosting the party. We are taking some snackie snacks with us. I decided I wanted to make a little something to give as a house warming gift. Well, I can give serving pieces filled with the snacks. Terri is decorating the kitchen in Spanish decor. I found these pieces at Marshalls for a steal! I researched just what glue would do the job. What a disaster! Supposedly this glue is great for glass and china. However, I soon found out it is not good for stoneware.
Second attempt.....
This time I went to a large craft store instead of the home improvement store. They know their products!!!This is the glue they suggested...it is perfect! I bought a syringe to apply more precisely, leaving a clean finish (when I applied that other glue was just plain sloppy, not having a small tip to apply). This is the finished project...I think the top plate will have shrimp and cocktail sauce, and the plate below will have cheese and crackers. I really hope Terri likes it as much as I do.Now, this one I really didn't need.....but how cute is this plate? I thought I should buy it to make another cake plate...or should I say cupcake plate! Can you see the Valentine cake plate behind? I use that dome on all of my plates. This plate will sit patiently waiting for a birthday or a random act of kindness to find a new home! I just love it!.....

....or maybe I'll just keep it right where it is!

What a GREAT idea! I absolutely love it. Now, time for ME to head to a store to find a great deal and make one of my own! (Oh and I LOVE that E6000 glue! LOVE it!)

Fabulous platters! I love them both! Now if I could just find a deal on some beautiful china, I'd be in business. On the hunt today! I use E6000 on so many projects but never thought of one this cool!
