I actually love when it's just trimmed. I have small lights that shine up into the tree at night...perfect. The tree keeps it's nice shape because I have it trimmed twice a year just like this. It is green year round, and will be just as full in about 4 months. I had to trim the lover branches before the tree service came just so I could mow under it without having to duck.

Wow! You are so smart when it comes to garden and yard stuff! Does this thinning of the tree help it? I have a big tree in my front yard that I wonder if it would benefit from a good trim....this fall :)
8 Had an opinion...:
Oh no!
I opened your blog and thought, oh my gosh that tree is beautiful! And the next photo - chopped! What happened??

It still is so pretty!!! I love your yard!
I really love freshly cut grass and a trim, tidy tree. It looks great as always! I wish my tree looked as good! :)
Never realized you had to trim those trees. But they are just beautiful.
